After 8 years of Justin Trudeau, Canada is broken.
Basic necessities like food, heat and shelter are increasingly out of reach for many Canadians.
Canadians need help and hope to get through this crisis but the Liberal solution is to expand eligibility for assisted suicide or Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) to those with serious mental illness like suicidal ideation and drug addiction.
We have already heard horror stories of people asking for MAiD because they cannot afford food and housing.
Veterans with PTSD have also been offered MAiD instead of the help they desperately need.
This is wrong.
Conservatives brought forward Bill C-314 to permanently stop the expansion of MAiD.
Those struggling with their mental wellbeing deserve support and treatment, not death.
We know that recovery is possible and this is why we will never give up on anyone.
Parliament must not allow MAiD for the most vulnerable in our society.
